Nice. Well I guess we can rule out the needing tools part for sure!

Have you looked at ANY plans at all and seen anything you like? You have the skillset. A good set of plans and you will be building.

If you wish to engineer it yourself you will need to learn suspension geometry as it applies to long travel. How do you feel you are on that?

Many people look at plans of a known good design and tweak it a bit to thier liking.

What all designs have you seen that you like and what ones that you did not like and why?

There are some dang nice plans out there that are not identical to that other fellows build but are really nice you may (or may not) like more.

Are you familier with anyones plans?

Look at rorty-design.com for some good plans. The R16 is a good bet and you could easily build it for 15.

Thanks for all your input sand man
no i have never even seen a buggy plan but i am sure if i see it i can build it
for the first one i will stick to the plan and on the next one i will change a few things i am sure
i have lots to read tonight when i go home you gave me enough homework after i read it all i want you to point me to the right direction to chose a plan that is the closest to the one i was talking about
i was looking in the shop and i have everything to build a full size buggy but i like a small one better for my first build
i found a nice rebuilt porsche 928 5speed i have a porsche 944 tranny with complete rear suspension and axle's i have a 914 engine cobalt i told you already and impala i tell you all these so you know what i have so if i can use any of it you can tell me and make my life easier
have you ever seen a mazda miata trany it should be small enough
