Trying to find that spindle pic. I am on dialup out here in the boonies and its slow and does not always load all the pics especially with so many.
Given his quality of work and attention to detail I do not doubt they are very good. I will get to them soon and respond. As for the 800 frame on evil bay you would need to link us to it. A frame is not always a GOOD frame. either a link (cut and paste the url here.) or at least the item number.

eBay Motors: mini dunebuggy dune buggy sandrail sand rail frame (item 330298672688 end time Jan-11-09 12:36:55 PST)
I have seen that frame talked about on here before. $800 "might" get you the frame. Do you live close enough to go pick it up? Shipping that will be $250.00 minimum and likley FAR more. Heres the problem with that or any other frame you may buy. Is the suspension and geometry done right so that it handles well (and safely!!!) and is there enough room for YOUR motor? How about enough room for you??? It does not look like the suspension mounts are quite done yet in that frame so you may be able to do those to your liking some but then the suspension arms with it may not work. Its hard to start at the wheels and build in with a premade frame. BUT it CAN be done. Many have bought premade frames and made nice buggies out of them. You need to understand what you getting into and only YOU can honestly answer that you know what you need to know to build a complete unit. You NEED to be able to put the seat(s) in it you will sit and have it at the angle you wish it to be AND then still have enough head clearance (Should be a MINIMUM of four inches from your helmet to the top bars. 6 inches is prefferred. (Yah I said helmet.) Between potential frame bending in a hard impact and the stretching your neck will do you do NOT want contact at those impact levels. Necks can stretch a few inches if the impact is hard. The tiny amount of extra tube and small weight gain above your head is far better than neck or skull injuries. How tall of a person is that frame on evilbay made for? With what seat? Was it built right? Did the person make it only so tall for looks and not safety? Is there enough leg room for one? For two??? This is only a couple points of many that need to be answered.

OK I finally looked at nearly all the pics of that other fellows build.
I would have to say I see nothing wrong with the way he built his spindles. What did you question about them? His Buggy shows a LOT of thought and planning. I tend to like bigger tires but in his videos it seems to be hooking up very well. If I had to (as in being forced to) find a fault with it at this point it would be no reverse. But its still an amazing piece of work anyone would be proud to own and even prouder to make. I DO like how wide the cockpit is. I hate ones that are barely wider than the driver.

The 1 year and 15k is doable. The BIG thing is do you have the skills needed and the equipment and place to do it? Do you have a bender you know how to use? A notcher? Can you weld really good?? Thats a start.
Have you checked your private messages on this board yet. I sent yah a "lil" info.

Don't use the quick reply. Hit the Post reply right under this and off to the left. In it you will see manage attachments. You can load three images then it will allow you to load two more after you upload the first three. (Five total per psot)
