Im not sure im on the right forum since i am a lover of chenowith sand rails- preferably old school.

so ill tell you what ive got. i think that my 2 seater chenowith frame is from the seventys and i know that the engine i just put in is a 70' vw bug motor. the trans mission doesnt go in reverse and theres some jb weld next to where the trans-axel goes in the trany. the rear tires are 33x11 and the front are very narly kinda like 1940 army jeep.
When i first got the frame i took it to the top of my long steep driveway and on just the front rims and some tires on the back with no motor, no seetbelts and the gas tank and seets werent even bolted in proceded to roll it down the hill with my 19 yr old buddy passenger.
there was a large embankment which i thaught would be fun to hit going about 30mph we shot up it and the passenger side hit a small oak causing us to cork screw on to our top. then we looked up and saw a monstrus bees nest in the tree that we just rolled in to. we managed to get out of there without any injuries.
As a newbie to this site this is one exsmple of my exciting/stupid ideas but hey i think it was fun![smilie=ecstatic.gi: If you get this and itnot appropriate to the occasion= Im new and havnt figured this out yet

well i bought a little buggy rolling chassis from ebay on the other day for £150 ($230 ish) and i had a friend to collect it for me, i was surprised by its size! it had been build using a necht moto quad as a donor bike..

Heres some pics of it next to my custom pit bike for size comparison

I had attempted to get in it 30+ times and succeeded once

So looks like i will have get some gas & wire for the mig & do a bit of modding so i can fit in :/ it needs extending by 2-3 feet & the roof height needs extending another foot or so. ive got a few engines laying around that would be ok for this, the best i could find for it was an NSR 125 engine & i have the full loom, powervalve, de-restricted CDI etc, so it should be fun getting that in there [smilie=ecstatic.gi:

What do you guys think? [smilie=wink.gif]

Just trying to get a feel for what people think? Would this be a neat option for runnin on my buggy?

Making it a single seat Rhino? I would probably want to try to install the front headlights so they actually work and I have lights?

The hood runs in line with the side upper body panel so it will look great when the side panels go on and the back bed sides fit really well. May trim when the shocks go on but for now pretty cool. Also could and probably will drop in the rear tail lights so they work and then I am all set with tail lights, brake lights and front headlights. Nice.

Might look into seeing if someone can mold and fiberglass me one instead and close out the headlights all together though?

Anyways just trying to get reactions, thoughts and input.
What do you think, cool to have some what of a body on it or just go flat panels and call it good?

Heres the pics.

This was a damaged hood from my brother so I just thought I would try it out but it starts to grow on you. The tires will stick out but the fenders roll down and connect back to the side nicely so I didn't want to go any wider.
Also the top a arm is getting close to the hood right now so that is about all the lower I can actually go without the top a arm possible hitting the hood.

Anyone know how to seem back together a plastic hood??? :D

Thanks for looking and any inputs, thoughts welcome.
:)

Hello all! Just thought I would show off some pictures of my project buggy made from a manco dingo go cart. When I first got the buggy it was completely stock with the original 8HP Briggs that came with it (That didn't run) I picked up a knock off 15 HP engine for 300 CND at Princess auto and made a mount. Shortly thereafter a coworker took it over an 8 foot snow pile and bent the flimsy stock cage to hell leaving it as shown

While a ton of fun on its own, the lack of suspension and short person steering position made it ackward for my 6'2" frame to fit in so I decided to modify it hacking it off just after the seat

I retained the front spindle and tube from the original front end to use as A arms for the front suspension and bent a chunk of tube and notched it with a grinder

I'm about to start a Piranha build and have some questions about the frame length. I know it is a common practice to add some length to parts of the frame sections to make it longer. Add a couple inches to the engine compartment or to the cockpit to give it more room. I have looked at alot of piranha pics and I can tell some are longer then others but it's hard to judge the size/scale without a driver sitting in it. To make a long story short the piranha in this pic and vid looks to be the perfect size for what I plan to use it for. I know the builders name is Russell but thats about it.
Does anyone know anything about this piranha or how I might contact the builder. I would like to know if the length has been modified from the plans and if so where was it added..... Thanks for the help
