Does anyone who has a Predator X-18 have the measurement of the Ecotec to the center of the CV flange?
Since I plan on using a similar set up in my build what I need is to find out, measured from the forward edge of the engine to the center of the Flange on the Differential.

I could also use the same measurement from the forward engine mount to the center of the Flange on the Differential.

I need to provied these to John at Mosebilt so when he builds my frame he can build the trailing arms.
Thanks,

Before I begin I would like to say that this site has a lot of great info and very knowledgeable people and I would like to tap that knowledge.

The engine is a 2003 GSXR 1300 and #3 (3rd from left while in front of the motor) cylinder is dead. #4, to the right of #3, was missing also but it cleaned up after 20 seconds of running. Sta-bil was put in the tank before I put her away for the summer. Is there a quick way to determine if it is a fuel injector or a spark plug problem?, by quick I mean a way to a have one or all of the injectors squirt while the engine is off and the throttle valve is open to see if it is injector related or ? I am just trying to not waste time chasing a mis-diagnosis.

Some what related to the above... I picked up a laser thermo/temp sensor gun at the pawn shop(my favorite place to shop) for $10 about a year ago, I bought it because it was just too inexpensive to pass up... not really knowing what I could use it for, when the motor started mis-firing, a quick pull of the trigger at each exhaust tubes quickly showed the cooler non-firing cylinder(s). Best $10 I ever spent.

The fuel pump is new and seems to be running OK once it finally primes.

is there any tricks I can do to help it prime quickly? I am afraid extended starting attempts will be hard on my starter and battery.

Does anyone know how difficult it would be to turn a regular fl 350 into a liquid cooled motor? I know I'd have to fab some jugs but what I would like to do is make a liquid cooled motor with the cylinders and the head even if it meant to fab the jugs alittle in order to line them up with the rest of the motor!! Like maybe take a Sea Doo 650 cylinders and do some fab work so that it's not just a thermosyphon head but an actual liquid cooled cylinder also!! Or am I just having a really good pipe dream?

I just installed the boost guage in my buggy and do not get a reading until the rpms are at about 7500rpms. My initial thought is I should get boost at lower rpms and it should climb as rpms climb. Is this correct? I am suppose to put out 15 lbs of boost. I know I will need to tune the wastegate and I have a manual boost valve in the cockpit. So, should I be seeing about 8lbs of boost at about 5000 - 6000 rpms or do I just not understand turbos?

I am in the planning stages of my buggy build am I am totally leaning towards a TL1000, a Rotax out of an Aprilia, etc., it will have a fairly powerfull engine for power, but will also be used for some technical rock crawling. Can anyone tell me why an inline would be a better choice?
