M.O.R.E.
The organization I race with is holding their second annual Powder Puff Race for the Cure. What this race is, is a race for raising money for Breast Cancer research. All money will go to Cedars-Sinai. The race will be an all Female race! Yep that’s correct all females, drivers, riders and only the pit crews will be men. Its Awesome. Last year was so cool. I think there was about 70 cars in last years race and this year is going to be even bigger. Actually they are racing in two groups, fast cars and then the slower limited class cars. MORE, is donating half of everyone’s entry fees to Cedars Sinai. How cool is that. And last year I think we raised about 60,000 dollars. Awesome! What else is cool is Each and every car will receive a plaque with a photo of the car on it just for racing. They announce who wins each race just for fun but each plaque is a thank you for entering and racing not about winning... as I said they at least do let everyone know how they did and place so its fun... but bragging rights only. There is a huge raffle with a side by side as just one of the prizes. Live band, dinner and tons of fun and stories after the race. I don’t know if any of you will be in CA. or live around here but you Must come check this out. Its Awesome. And my Wife will be running our little car so come watch here and cheer for her. My wife made a flyer and asked me to post it. Here you go. Saturday, October 13, 2007 Barstow, California. 15 fwy. Outlet Center Drive. SATURDAY First group of Racers start at 9am My group starts at 12:00 Noon I will run as many 20 Mile Laps as I can in 3 hours Then at 4:00 PM will be the Awards, Raffle & Dinner All Proceeds to Benefit Cedars-Sinai Woman's Breast Cancer Research Institute Would You Like To Help Out? 1. You Can Sponsor My Team. * *( By helping to pay my entry fee, my fuel or pits support etc.) 2. Donate Food or Drinks for participants & volunteers at the race. 3. Donate items/gift cards for the raffle prizes after the race. 4. Donate by check to Cedars Sinai, for Breast Cancer Research. 5. Purchase a Raffle ticket ($20.00) *& you could win a great prize. We invite you to please come show your support & cheer us on! THANK YOU, Pepper Cote’ * Car 1325 For any questions, feel free to call me at xxxxxxxx or email glamisangel@verizonmail.com * * * * * * * * * I know some of you go to these races already so I hope to see you out there showing your support and heck helping out any way you can. Nice.
My wife and I will try to stop and say hi. Or if you see our little red car you do the same. If your wife needs anything have them stop in our pits during the race and we will try to help. Its just my wife and I and a few friends but we can change a flat etc. if they need help. ![]() |

Well just a few weeks away and well... no motor.
Yep I blew it up at the last race. It should be done within a weeks time. To bad that gives me no time to test it. The weekend before the race I am working. I will be at the Off Road Expo with my work. Then the next weekend is the race. My wife will be off and racing. She is so excited I just hope I built a great little car for her and the new motor holds together so she can run the entire race and have fun. Hope to see some of you there? If you need any info let me know. Talk to you later. ![]() |

What a perfect day.
Sun was out and plenty of racing was *had by all. Could not have asked for a better weekend and event. The MORE group raised over 40 thousand dollars by the time the race started and more money was coming in. So the cause worked and helped to raise a lot of money. Not sure of the total yet. As for the racing as I was in the Tech line getting the little buggy checked in for the race I was able to meet a couple peoplel. AZ1600 nice to put a face to the name. How did you guys/gals do? We finished 11th in the morning group out of the 65+ cars that took the line. My wife had a lot of fun and did an awesome job driving. No crashes etc. She did get two flats one was a bent rim and tire pop. So its very bad and the other is a very bad cut in the side wall with some leaking. So a couple new tires and all will be good. The car did very well yet again and ran 5 laps in 3 hours. I believe in the morning group only about 11 cars where able to do 5 laps and the winner did 6 laps. Very fun and what a great day. It was so fun to watch and help all the ladies racing. They just where so happy and having so much fun. Know thats what racing should be all about. Just running your car enjoying the day and just being lucky enough to have a race car to go and race. Awesome. Its the only word I can say to let everyone know how much fun it was for the Tut Tech Team. We had a blast. Great racing, Great friends and Family. We could not have done this without our friends and mostly our Family. So thanks to everyone who went and helped and made the event so awesome. See you next year. ![]() |
