So, do you guys think that since Triple EEE built these buggies with mostly "off the shelf" parts, that it may be easier than I first thought, to modify a box (Pilot or RPM or others) with the axles and use some of the exsisting parts ??
Maybe Danno will chime in on this also.
Livewire, if these are the same hubs, are there different axles "available" to mate up to a different style FNR gearbox, once I make the change over with the 650cc Arctic Cat engine?
Thanks, Jeff

Tear into the box, and inspect it. Repair or replace what is needed and then take it out for a few shakedown runs with the 650 engine. If it holds on pavement and over a few jumps it shouldn't leave you stranded. Once you get out to the dunes don't ride alone and carry a tow strap

Spend the money when and where you have to.

Yes, the Formula Cross stuff would work. The later (2001-2005) hubs fit the B35 bearing and accept Audi 5000 CVs. Bug could actually sell you his axles too if his plan is what I think it is. Although, the length may be off.

Bugpac,
That almost sounds to good to be true!! Granted you guys are the experts at building thes cars, I have just gotten it to them as of last Thanksgiving we spent out at the dunes. It was Awsome!! My wife and I can't get enough! Our dune season is just about a month away. Alot different climate from Buffalo, NY (where we're from)
So how many side jobs am I going to have to do help pay for these parts?? Seriously though, I appreciate your guys knowledge. My backround is building old muscle / protouring cars and engines. Now I am a finish carpenter. So will this be fairly "easy"??
Do you have any pictures of what this set up is like?
Thanks again for everything and I look foward to hearing from you. You can send any pic to JeffW_01@msn.com if it is easier.
Thanks, Jeff

Livewire,
Thanks for the excellent pictures !! That setup looks to be just what I needed. I just have get the axles to the proper length. Maybe I'll get lucky and the length will work in the Triple EEE chassis?
What is the status of parts for these gearboxes? I was looking at using a Pilot gearbox also, but I didn't know about the conversion, just from what I've read here on the board .
I am just waiting for Bugpac to reply or email me about the costs on his box. I have already looked into a Pilot box too.
Let me know if you here anything.
Thanks, Jeff
