Well. . . my chain saga continues. . .
I broke the chain on the mini about six-months ago. *Replaced it with the highest tensil strength chain I could get. *Well, it is a non-o-ring drag chain and the sucker gets so hot it melts the chain roller. *So, with my shifting a little more under control I'm wanting to go back to an O-Ring Chain. * Again, I've got a turbo Hayabusa so, need to be able to hold up to this. * XSO??? *(Seems like it wouldn't be enough???) I had also heard JXW??? (I think I took it down wrong because I'm only able to find GXW???) *this looks like the better choice? * What's everyone else running? |

IMO there is no long term solution to your chain dilema.BUt if you must I'd suggest DID or EK chains. Use their best and maybe you'll get some use out of it.Look up the thread on silent chains and see what I did to solve this problem.Fabr

I've got a reverse box so, can't go to a drive unit like yours. *Thanks though. *
So, which O-ring chain have the rest of you turbo guys had the best luck with? |

Chain rollers suck, is it possible to make your reverse box pivot off the bottom of the frame with some L and R heims on the top to adjust the unit back and tighten the chain? *I blew through alot of rollers and siezed up bearings for rollers, I won't use them again, even for my sprocket drive rails...

Have you ever thought about using a 630 O-RING chain?
Big busa turbo drag bikes use the 630 all the time because the 530 isn't strong enough. Tensile strenth is all and well but if you dont have enough material to back it up you will still break the chain. I just converted mine over this off season to a 630 beacuse my 530 ZZZ chain kept stetching. Jerry

The biggest drawback to 630's is the larger sprockets required...just gotta hope you have the ground clearance. A 60 tooth sprocket goes from 12.3" OD to 14.7" OD when going from 530 to 630.
