Default 930 cv or toyota u-joint

I have built my mini using 930 cv drive and get about 25*
what does a toyota u-joint get?
Are they strong enough to use
would a u-joint hold up in the sand and mud.

Default U Joints and 930 CV's

I don't know about Toyota U-joints specifically but U-joints have been used in mini rails.

Hotwheels has them on his Short sand car and I'm going to install them on my car too. Mine came with 930 CV's but the angle was 25* or more so they were under lots of stress. It took only a few trips and they started clicking.

Just for information look at Sandstuff.com and their Extreme axles. Costly but you get the idea on angles. Considering the kind of power we are putting down go to a local drive line shop and see what they can do for you.

Default Toyota U-joint

I ran toyota U-joints on my last rail. They worked good. People claim they give 41 degrees of travel just before they bind. I ran close to that and they were great.

What model Toyota did you get your U-Joints from? Are the axles or hubs from the same truck?
Thanks!

Does anyone know what the Max and Min length of these are, or someplace that might list it?

That's basically what my setup looks like but i'm going with 1350 u-joints on rails with a turbo. What you guys have to realize is those are driveshaft u-joints, not axle ujoints. You can use them for both but they need to be stronger for axles. They may be able to handle high hp on drive shafts but they are going into a diff that has another ratio before the wheels which means they are getting pushed harder as a direct drive off the engine....1310 may be strong enough for a regular motor but if you are gonna turbo your setup you need bigger u-joints. my .02

i would think they would handle the torque any motorcycle engine puts out, if compared the torque from a v8 off the rear off the trans is probbaly more then you will ever see from a bike motor! 8)
