Default clutches

New here, nice site. Hope to get some advise. I have a modified short sand car with a 98 cbr 900 rr in it. Running 26" blasters mini's in the rear with a 13 tooth front sprocket and a 70 tooth rear. I can not keep a clutch in the thing blew the second one up in 2 hrs. I drive hard (whoops at 60mph), drag race(dump and go) and jump big(land on the throtle). I know this is contributing to the problem if not creating it. BUT I LIKE TO PLAY. any suggestions to beef it up or make it last a while longer........

Get stiffer springs, and aftermarket clutch plates--those are the two obvious solutions. The race guys should know what works well--look for one of their sites.

Hey hotwheels,

Have you checked to make sure that the clutch is engaging completely? Is it possible that something is hanging it up and causing it to slip?

take care
