Took the buggy for a thrash up and down the road today a heap donuts in forward then a heap in reverse
Then i felt the motor start to load up and then stall , All seized up in the rear no forward no neutral no reverse
Had to unbolt the CV's and the push of shame back into the shed

Stripped it down and found one of the planet gears seized to the shaft
So back to the early question on here (something about using needle bearings / Bronze bushes )

So now thats the new plan , Fit Phosphorus Bronze bushes and use Alloy Steel hardened Dowel Pins now

I suspected that might be an issue. As difficult as it may be, needle bearings and the same hardened shafts would seem to be the answer. I think bushings would be fine if they were fed oil, but I'm guessing they would fail with no oil pressure.
