Want to find a Comet 100D pulley

I'm looking for a Comet / Hoffco driven pulley. It is a 100D. The pulley on mine is bent and I'd like to replace it.

Do you need a 3/4" or 1" bore on the driven clutch?

If I understand correctly, the 100D is the same as a 90D, but a 1" larger diameter. It also uses a 1 3/16" belt. I'm wondering if there are some other driven clutches that would be an option.

What are you using as your primary (driver) clutch?

Mine is a 1-inch bore. The pulley diameter of the 100D is larger than the 90D. The primary is the 94C duster.

As you've discovered, a Comet 100D driven clutch is fairly rare these days. I'm not sure why the company that took over the Comet products has chosen not to make it available as a new product, but . . .

So, you're looking for a driven clutch with a 1-inch bore, an 11" diameter and uses a 1 3/16" belt. That's a tough combination. The older Polaris snowmobile driven clutches have a 1-inch bore and the correct diameter, but they use a 1 1/4" belt.

I can think of two options, but neither are ideal.

Polaris Snowmobile Driven Clutch and 1 1/4" belt

As I stated, the older Polaris snowmobile clutches are 11" in diameter and have a 1-inch bore. I posted in another thread how to adjust the Comet Duster driver clutch to use a 1 1/4" belt to be compatible with the Polaris driven clutch. You may also need to change the spring in the driven clutch to be compatible with your setup.

    Comet 94D Driven Clutch.

These clutches are still available and are compatible with your belt and clutch. The downside is the smaller diameter. That would affect your low gearing and require that you move the clutches further apart.

Someone might have some other suggestions, but those are the two most obvious solutions that I see. Assuming, that you can't find a 100D clutch, that is.

Actually I saw that Kawonda had one for sale but he hasn't replied. I'd rather go with the 100D or the Polaris if that works. I'd like to avoid fabricating a new bracket if possible.
