Do you have some pics of the sides of the sprocket teeth?
I'm curious if the sprocket wear is on the sides only, or if the teeth are actually rolled forward......

I will post up a picture of the old sprocket when I get home tonight. I am going to the dunes the November 9th-11th. I will have a camera mounted on the back of my car pointed at the chain/rear end so I can see if anything is flexing. Should I be cleaning and re-lubing my chain after each ride? I am not really a hill shooter/sand drags guy (Not that I do not do it) But I spend most of my time actually riding in the dunes.

Here is some pictures of my last sprocket...Not sure if you can see the teeth look like they are going one way. (At least it looks like it is not pulling from one side)

Looks like your sprockets are out of align, that's the only way you would get side ware on the teeth.
Get a 1x1 piece of angle iron cut to the lengths to the farthest points of the front and back sprockets and vise gripe it to the front sprocket and it should be sitting flat on the rear sprocket showing you if it has an angle or not. (remove the chain for this test)

Front sprocket is not worn on the sides. It the picture of the rear it is hard to tell but the teeth do not look like they are worn on the sides. The teeth look like they are starting to lean straight back. Since that rear sprocket is made from aluminum I am hoping that it was just to soft. Now that I have new front & rear sprockets with a new chain I hope things go good this weekend.

Check the alignment any ways it wouldn't hurt and change the rear sprocket to steal. The aluminum is to soft. A short chain setup like your generates a lot of heat and takes longer to cool. Aluminum and steal and heat don't mix. My chain is 120 link and it gets hot but did not get hot enough to cause wear on the old aluminum rear sprocket I was using. I did change out to a steal sprocket. I read that you were asking about a chain tensioner setup Weld on tensioner - Monstercraftsman This tensioner mite be what you are looking for.

So, I made a trip out to the dunes....My setup now works perfect. The sidewinder sprockets and chain worked. Now I just need to learn how to drive
I got stuck in a witches eye and Side stepped the clutch and snapped the chain right off.....Put a new chain on than ran for 2 days (HARD)...Last run before going home I was racing down the sand drags and I was using the clutch to shift and the master link in the chain broke... Chain and sprocket really had no signs of wear....One of the best weekends of my life.
