Default Reverse Options

Basically I want to have the option of reverse without having to pay $2500 for a differential. Is there anything out there I can do to get a reverse for $300 or less?

Starter motor reverse might be an option for you. Yoshi had it on his first car and I think Erwin from Argentina might have it on his build. He posted earler today and I think I saw it in a picture.

Edit: the suggestion below is very good.
Edit: Sorry - Erwin is from the netherlands and the argentina build is by another member. Brain fart . . .

XRH meant to put this link up:

Just an old fart from Florence Oregon

Its way better than reverse. It reverse with multiple forward ranges. And its pretty cheap all told.
