I am not so sure that would help since I think the chain speed is the major culprit but it is worth a try.

530 would mean more links for the same diameter sprockets which will be better as well.

I use to think bigger 630 chains were better for loosing heat, but I started thinking, radiators have small fins, not big ones, so i'm thinking a smaller 530 chain will dissipate heat quicker, and (2) 530's would be stronger and prob. dissipate heat quicker than (1) 630?.........

2 426 or whatever number they are would be the best IMO... Rick S did the dual 4 series chains for that gixer 1000 geo car and he said after a hard run he could grab right hold of the chain...

A 420 series chain is tiny! I was looking at one the other day. 1/2" pitch, like minibike and go cart stuff.

more links=more plates/o-rings rubbing=more friction=more heat?

more plates, more pins, less work between each piece, less heat, less fricton ...

Totally with Bugpac on this one, like it says on the Bosch book as well, I don't says book or theory is always right but the base of it is proven.
The problem of this is that it will need to be more tight on tolerance, the shaft need to be perfectly parallel to insure booth chain take the same load all the time even at the peak of the load, I saw my 1" shaft flexing with the sprocket just on the "side" of the bearing.
To late I already got my 630 I will be glad to experiment the dual stuff.

Think of making a 6 circle out of 1 inch straight lines, then make the same 6 inch circle out of 1/2 inch lines. The angle between the 1/2 inch lines is much less (should be 50% less).

Applying that to chains would mean the chain with half the pitch would have half the angular change between links. I'm not sure that would equate to half of the heat build up, but it could be close.
