I fixed it! Under the advice of my "drive line guy" (Border Parts in Southern California) and the same advice from RPM....I cut down the shafts to just under the width of the 930 drive flange and put a 1 3/4" washer with a grade 8 in the already threaded hole in the shaft. Now the flange is held against the shoulder of the shaft and has no "slop" in any direction. Lots of threadlock RED on the bolt and a little lock epoxy on the splines for good measure.
Now on the the next problem.....the 28 spline 26" drive shafts are too long, they hit the inside of the drive flange when horizontal from each other. Took all the distances: full compression and dropped out and 25"s are needed. I ordered a set from
www.chircoestore.com they should be in next week to put the rear end back together.
Some day I will get this thing together.....oh well..... out on a busines trip this week when I get back the axles should be in. Then on to the wiring mess I found, have to start a new thread on that!
