Default standfast's 2 seat design

Well, I am starting over on a new build. Going for a 2 seater that I can play/race with. I am designing this one to accomodate for as many off the shelf parts as possible while maintaining a somewhat simple design and easy to build design. Chassis is 1.25" chromoly, suspension is 1" chromoly right now. Does anyone know if 1.25" is accepted in the race orgs? I gotta look into that. If not I will bump it up. I have the front travel at 23" right now. It is gonna be setup with the ability to run bypasses along with the coilovers. 82" Track width, 99" WB, 129" OAL. Still gotta work out the rear suspension but constructive criticism is welcome! Except for the one smart azz telling me it needs rear wheels! haha

BTW the rear is gonna be STA's with the pivot axis angle built into the rear transom so don't have a bunch of different lengths of tabs.

Yeah I had a 2 seater already but I am gonna do it all solo on my own design this time around to fit my own requirements. I really liked the other car but I feel like I can do better. We'll see what happens.

I have never seen 1.75" on a class 10 car I don't think but maybe??? I am sure Kfab knows.

SCORE/BITD:
Up to 2000 lbs car weight
1.5 x .095 CDN/4130/Seamless or ASTM 1018/1026 CDS/DOM for the roll cage

Hey, you forgot the rear wheels.
(I had to!)

So it doesn't matter if the car weighs 1000lbs or 1999lbs? You still need 1.5?

Which tubes actually constitute as the "roll cage"?

The ones in red.

Now if you would just put a real upper a-arm on it...... And a little more camber gain wouldn't hurt.

Can you elaborate on the upper a-arm a bit more bdkw1? Thanks for the pics on the cage. Is that from the score rule book? The rest of the tubes on the car can be 1.25?

Yes, strait from the SCORE rule book.

If you put a real A-arm on it, you can shock boss through the cross tube tieing the whole structure together better.

I would do the same to the rear mount on the bottom arm also.
