I could see the outer pivot failing from side loading. I was thinking more along the lines of upward loading from running over obstacles.

Naw, the suspension will let the tire get out of the way for that. Sliding sideways into something on the other hand, the tire has no where to go.....

BTR Beadlock with 33x10.5 Yok Super Digger is 59lbs. I got all of them mountedd this evening. Wheel is 22 lbs. Tire is 37 lbs.

I also got the table built for the frame. It is really heavy! haha

Ouch! That's a lot of weight. 240 lbs just for rims and tires? What are you aiming for a total weight?

Looking for something around 1500 lb race weight. There is a big difference between a play mini buggy or a play sand buggy and a capable and strong race ready 2 seat desert buggy. This is just as big as almost all 2 seat 10 cars. I just have a weight savings in the powertrain department. Oh, and you are forgetting I will be carrying a spare so its 295lbs in wheels and tires. I am really trying to limit it to 1500 lbs though. It could exceed that. I am not too worried about it. I have come to the conclusion that too light and too short of a buggy can be pretty harsh in the really rough stuff. Too light and too small of tires and traction is an issue as well. The increased wheelbase, tire size and and weight isn't necessarily always a bad thing. I see it as an advantage in the end. Smoother, stronger, more traction, more stable is faster in almost all situations that I will be in. Let me put it this way, 1000 lb Busa car has a better power to weight ratio than a trophy truck but is it faster out in the desert? You get to a point in this type of racing that if the car gets too light and too small of tire, you will get the shit beat out of you and your tire will get dwarfed by the obstacles and put way to much stress on the suspension. Thats a whole other discussion though.

So I now have the table all built and ready to go. Bender is ready to go. Parts are starting to stack up. It is going to be nice being able to have the parts in front of me while building instead of hoping they fit. That is why I collected the parts before the build this time. To help design and ensure fitment. All the 4130 tubing and plate should arrive by Monday. Here is some of the goods laying around. Spent several hours mounting the beadlocks. Better to get that done now than at the end. Those kind of things suck to do when you are almost ready to drive.

6.3:1

RPM Gearboxes

IIRC, it is around 8.5" between flanges. I could measure exact if you need it.
