Also I was thinking on this last night and wondered what I could gain by moving my pivot point further back on the frame like so. The one i have posted just so darn long in comparison to what most people seem to be running.

If your talking about the bearing carrier specs, they're a 6 on 5-1/4" bolt pattern for 3/8" bolts......

The other night when I tore the rear end off my car the heims were letting the outside hub wiggle enough that my wheel could be wiggled close to 3/16".

I had such a terrible vibration in my car that the engine was bouncing almost an inch inside the chassis and two of my mounts are welded in!

I believe getting rid of the loose hiems will cure my vibration issue.
Also I am goint to install b-pillars and a new sinister drive spool.

If i had some more cash I'd be making it two seater as well. I think that qualifies a new chassis though. If i get the house I am trying to buy, maybe this winter I could do that.

6-1/4 od
3-3/4 id
6 on 5-1/4" bolt pattern

I actually have my machinist drill out all the rings in the cnc though....

SO COOL!! that will make switching them easy as pie in the event the subaru xt shafts are too weak and I need stronger components.

I think you are making a big mistake but it is your car, my guess would be the rod ends on the car were cheap garbage when new.

Please explain why you think trailing arms are a mistake?

Axle plunge, camber curve, adjustability, weight, localized force loading......

I'm with Monte on this one. Good hiems with booties or seals should last for years.

Better weld in a LARGE tube like the one pictured on page 2 to keep the frame from cracking in the middle.
