Default Keeping It Cool......

Ive been searching around for the right radiator for my Viper powered MB and dont know where to start. I was wondering if a all aluminum Honda Civic Half Core radiator well be enough to keep everything cool, Ill will be running a 12in fan also. Thanks

Brett

They have honda Civic radiators on fleebay for less than a hundred bucks. They look identical to the ones in the lower pictures on the website you provided. I use them on my buggy that has a GSXR 1000 engine in it. It keeps it cool. I also have a 14" fan on it though that draws a lot of air though it and won't get hotter than 180 degrees when the fan is on.

A few of the El Toro sand cars are using that style radiator. And they seem to cool pretty well, even the heat of the Idaho summer. Another option is what I am using in my rail (along with quite a few other manufacturers/builders), a scirocco style drag radiator, summit, jegs, Ron Davis, and Griffen sells them for fairly cheap. Just make sure you get an electric fan and shroud for the radiator.

I just bought a Mishimoto Civic 1/2 size radiator from ebay, same as this one and you can get it cheaper than that using the Make Offer option. It seems to be well made, looks better than the really cheap ones, but I have not used it yet. I think it should provide ample cooling for any sled engine.

^^^^Yea Mishimoto is actually first on my list since I can get their radiator and fan combo for around $250 shipped. I just wanted to make sure it would cool my motor before blowing my $$$ away. Thanks for the replys guys, Im already falling in love with this forum and hope to meet some of you Michiganders.

This is what I'm putting in, it's more than large enough to cool the motor, looks decent, and isn't going to make you cry should you flip the buggy over and smash it.
