i have a king car and i have been having over heating problems... mostly when i'm duning hard which is most of the time (pedal to the metel) *i have switch my coolant to evans waterless coolant npg+ hoping that would help... the car seemed to run even hotter it dosen't boil over and the fan kicks in at 195 but i pinned the temp gauge at 250 a couple times... evans coolant has a higher viscosity and a 375 boiling point... i have removed the thermostat hoping that increasing the flow of the higher viscosity coolant ...haven't tested it yet i will this weekend ...i was wonder if any one have an oppinion on my progression of changes... this temp issue is not aproblem on a lot of king car only a few and it is usually the guys that drive hard...

I would look into putting a oil cooler on the motor. I have run mine both ways and can tell you that they do work and work well.
Also make sure you have your cooling systems is completely "burped" of all the air in the system. A little air does effect the system greatly.

Also make sure that you cooling fan is rotating the right way.....if it spins backwards it won't cool worth a shit and could cause your problem....

Where is the radiator located, and what size is it? The fan should be on the back of the rad, and sucking air through it. How hot is the ambient temp when you are running it?

BTW, removing the thermostat is a bad idea. It will take longer to warm up, increasing wear, and it will eventually overheat. How often is the fan on?

well i talked with evans coolant and they recomend removing the thermostat and capping off the bypass hose... npg+ cools better with a higher flow rate...the motor seems to warm up at the same rate with or with out the thermastat.... i'm going out this weekend so we'll see how she runs....the ambient temp was in the 90's last time...and yes the fan is spinning the correct direction and my radator is a 22x13x2 PWR

You got some bad info then. I wouldn't consider neither taking out the thermostat, nor capping the bypass. I would say that is their excuse for making the coolant too thick. If would try propylene glycol first. Flush your system a few times first though. It doesn't mix well with ethylene glycol, or the others.

How big are your lines to the radiator, and back to the engine? I've heard of people having problems with flowing coolant because the small pump. The thick coolant may worsen your dilemma.
