Question Radiator help

My project is moving along. I have 2000 yamaha R1 motor and I’m having a problem finding a radiator. I don’t want to use the stock bike radiator. Does anyone have a link to a place that makes custom radiators for our buggy projects?

I'll second the aftermarket Honda Civic radiator. I used this Mishimoto one in my build and it works great. I used the 'make offer' button to buy it for $120 on ebay. This one seemed to be slightly better quality than the others, but they probably all come from the same place anyway, this one is just polished on the outside. It just annoyed me that the ones that are really cheap use extremely high shipping costs to make up for the low purchase price.

Definately make sure to get a 2 core if you go with the Civic rad like Protodie said, my car was overheating with the single.

If you look close you can get a 3 row as well, but they are bar and plate... The bigger cores also have bigger inlets and outlets...

Are you throwing that out there as a positive or negative aspect of the radiator? Since bike and sled engines use smaller hoses than any Civic you need to reduce them down anyway. Instead of welding on new fittings to the radiator, I just bought silicone hose reducing elbows to get the job done.

I am running a FOZ Radiator from Speed Partz with a GSXR1000. Nice product that gets the job done. I had one of their MaxAir models built with a Spal fan. They specialize in radiators for motorcycle engine powered vehicles.

Look at the overall sizes too.
The Civic DEL SOL might be a little large. 18 1/2 x 16 1/4 x 2
the plain Civic is like 16 1/2 tall x 14 1/4 wide x 2"
They look the same in pictures but they are not.

Negative, you have to adapt somehow, I welded new fittings on mine, as i did not want any unions in the rad hose... as a side note, two rads combined only slow flow, the bike water pump does not flow enough to begin with, 2 rads combined may be less effective than one single one IMO..
