Default 2004 R1 Thermostat Vent?

Hello folks, I've got an 04 R1 car, that's almost finished. On the top right of the motor, there's a thermostat vent. I'm not sure what to do with it, pipe it into the coolant lines, or let it vent to the atmosphere.

Question #2
On the top left of the motor, there's a "Thermo Wax" (as the manual calls it) line coming from the injectors & the block, originating at the water pump. I just wanted to make sure that gets coolant before I pipe that one in. It appears that it adjusts the TB's based on temp.
Just looking for a little clarification.

Thanks SO MUCH for any insight!

I have the manual. It shows these items, but does not show or explain where they terminate.
