I would say, holding the switch strait up and down, measure the resistance between the center wire and the "brownish" lower wire. The put a resistor of the same value between the two and call it good.

With the 3 wires on the 04, how do you bypass the tip over sensor? *Do you tie 2 wires together and then solder in a resister from the 3rd wire to these?
If so in the attached pic, would I tie the brown-black to the red and then run a resister off that , back to the black?

Attached is the wiring page from my clymers manual for any of you electrical guru's
You think there is enuff power difference to switch years? *Or did you have a problem with the 03 motor?

I messed up the 03 at Bob's a couple of weeks ago. In the mud fest,,,,,, [smilie=big_explode.gif]
Should have never ran in that slop. 10 hours of cleaning on the car, my radiator is leaking from all the gravel/mud that got packed in it in 4 laps . We never even got over 8 miles an hour, could not steer or hardly go.
Throttle started sticking, as did the shift linkage from the mud.
When I got back from the power wash and cleaned up the car the rest of the way,,,,,I noticed water in the oil.
Not sure if it was from the powerwash or if I went thru a head gasket or something.

Changed oil 4 times, but may have a little water in it yet,,,,,,,,so not sure if the head gasket it bad or not. Motor runs fine, but compression seems low.
So I picked up an 04 to put in it. Dan's 04 has larger throttle bodies and seems to have more/ smoother power. So I went to an 04 to race him apples to apples.

I have the whole motor (03) kit and harness as a back up, and plan on checking out the problem later. Just wanted to get the buggy running and race ready,,,,,quickly.

I should be done with the change over tomorrow, waiting on my radiator from hyper.
I also plan on getting the leaking radiator repaired. * *
It was a very expensive 4 laps of mud.
