Default Re: Whats everyone using for gauges

Might be a silly question since I haven't seen one of these clusters. How does it mount up in the back? My 2 seater has a steel dash that I can cut out if need be. I tried to put the stock VFR cluster in my single seater, but the way those mount up, its nearly impossible without the fairing. There was no back to the cluster.

Also, another question for you while I think of it, are you running all the lights off the busa charging system?

Greasemnky,
Does your stock gauge cluster clip into the fairing, or does it have some mounting screws?
just a suggestion....
if it has screws, maybe fabricate up some small brackets to hold it in place, or try to replicate the fairing apeture, or take a small section of the fairing mounted to the dash for it to sit in?

No it used these stupid clips. And apparently, the one tab that I could have used, was broken off. Its not a huge deal, on the single seater. I know where the rev limiter comes in, and actually my GPS is great as a speedo. But for the busa, being fuel injected etc, I want to be able to use the code light.

I made a bracket out of aluminum. Simple enough. Scott Horner at Heads Up Performance sells a bracket . . .
