I have a 06 ZX10 for a sand rail project, I have the complete wire harness ECU, CDI, all sensors, ect.. The only thing I am missing is the ignition switch. I can jump the white and brown wires and it will turn over but no spark and the fuel pump circut does not come on. I have found out that there could be a resistor built into the switch but how many watts and ohms. Any info would help.

I am having the EXACT same issue with my fourwheeler project except i dont have the tip sensor either.
My harness was chewed up when the bike was wrecked, but here is what you are supposed to do. white and brown twist together, there is a grey wire in the ignition also that goes to the ECU, you'll need 100 ohm 1/2 watt resistor. Take the resistor and put it to the grey wire and hook the other end of the resistor to the white brown wires. Thats supposed to bypass the theft, if you dont have tip sensor you need to cut brown wire put a 68k ohm 1/4 watt resistor between the yellow and blue. Hope that helps, let me know if it works on yours, Im waiting for a new harness to arive to try it again. |
