From what I find you are in the minority as to the placement. If for no other reason why would anyone want a hot radiator just a few inches from the head and shoulders in the heat of the summer?Might be nice in the winter tho!Third,if you would not get carried away with overstating your case maybe I'd take the reasoning seriously.Fourth I am NOT trying to make you look bad.I will not ever again say that you build a good buggy or that your craftsmanship is very good.YOU seem to ignore all the times I have said so therefore I will not waste my time doing so again. I will say one more time that I don't think that the majority of buggies have a radiator mounted vertical above and immediately behind the head and shoulders of the occupant.I do not feel it is a good place. I spent the weekend looking at thousands of pics of all kinds of buggies big and small and the majority were not mounted like yours. It is not nitpicking YOUR rail.I have never felt it a proper place no matter who designed it.You were just the one pictured.Don't take it so personal.. Now if you want to mount it angled on the downtubes I personally think that is better and acceptable with some sort of deflector for the small but real possibility of spewing coolant. However it is your build and your priveledge to do whatever you think best..Just my opinion for what it's worth. Lastly if you(or anyone else) don't want me to challenge statements like "piston went through his arm" or "THe strongest cage in the world"(Franco) keep them believable and not overstated. If you'll notice it seems to be you that bring this about.C'mon ,Yoshi,we're friends and don't need to get pissed at each other over this stuff. This is the forum to discuss these things without taking it(or making it) personal.
Maybe i'm the minority in min rail builders, but from my understanding most offroad race vehicles have them up high and the rules for race events are more strict and more safety orientated than your basic home builder or rec. rail manufacturer. *As far as you saying you were stating your opinion and not trying to make me look bad, you started off giving your .02 about placement which was fine, but you then went to TELLING me to put the radiator somewhere else and that my customers would get burnt with my setup implying I was intentionally leaving something unsafe in. I gave my .02, K-fab gave his .02 , Rorty gave his .02 , another member that agreed with you gave their .02 cents, you are the only one that keeps trying to burn your opinion into peoples heads and your conversations went from your .02, to telling me how I should do things....
