Ever heard of a firewall?
You think a fire wall will keep a 3 foot long hose from spraying into the cockpit if it came loose? Tell you what, go disconnect the hose on your rail and see if you could manually aim it at the cockpit. If you can do it, then the hose can definatly do it and with enough pressure it would have no problem shooting a 6 foot spray pattern and you are no better off with your "proper mounting of the radiator" Mounting low doesn't protect you if a hose comes off. Secure the hose properly and allow a vent and it will never be an issue. It also helps to run good hoses and possibly change them every season or 2.
