Thanks for the advice, I have been looking at photo of minis from Yellowdogracing,snowmobiles,ATVs, and a lot of sand rails, the old VWs fronts swing back and so on, most of them seem to have some form or rake,small but there.
Now before I say too much I'm in no way a engineer of any kind.
But from a layman's standpoint the direction of force, to me, looks like it would be to your advantage to absorb energy more parallel and less perpendicular to the direction the suspension is designed to move.
I was just thinking that he (rorty)might of kept it simple for guys like me to built buggies. Thinking he would be on the phone all day trying to explain things to guys like me.
And trailing arms is what I would want I miss spoke there. My terminology isn't up to speed yet.
