Nope, you're wrong about that. You're talking about rake - where the suspension is angled upward in front. While it may look like it would give you more ground clearance at full compression, and nose low, the amount that you gain is negligible. It's not something to worry about. Take a look at my avatar - that's the direct result of a nose low landing. Wouldn't have mattered one bit if I'd had more or less rake.
There have been a few debates about the pros and cons of rake and I'll stick with my opinion that it's not necessary. The Gen IV cars have very, very little, most desert vehicles don't have much.
Why do you want trailing arms in the rear on a Lite sized vehicle?
