A recent Sand Addiction or Sand Sports has an article about a home made Hayabusa where the owner used a quad center section in much the same way. I'll look for it for some details.
IMO this is the most stressed component in the car. It might be worthwhile to buy a complete setup from Gear One or Yoshi.
I don't know if 930's at the stock wheel are going to work with the stock hub modification. This might be a good question for Chophop since he built a similar car. His Rgino was in SA or SS recently.
