When I was a kid my family had a 77 Ford crew cab 1ton. We had four sleds, but thing was only 2wd so we didn't want to tow a trailer as it becomes a problem if you spin out. So my dad and me built a rack that sloped from the top of tailgate, to the roof, and forward and down to a hitch receiver on the front of the truck. So when it was loaded their was two sleds above the deck, and two above the cab. Best part was we put a collapseable bulkhead on the front. When you collapsed the bulkhead, you could attach the ramp to it and drive the sleds right off the front of the truck. It worked good, but it surely looked redneck!
