I see your point in that the natives didn't have a WRITTEN law against what many of our ancestors participated in, but I would like to think they may have had an unwritten law against (slightly unintentional)mass genocide. Or at least a healthy respect for their neighbors.

I think we agree pretty much on this subject.Let me take the immigrant part a little further though.MOST of the immigrants of the last 100 or so years came here legally-through Ellis Island. It's only in the last 10-20 years that we have allowed widespread illegal immigration and acted like we couldn't control it.THAT is what pisses me off.
