As for the Wall Mart thing, we simply make it impossible for them to bring goods into our country without a large tariff to make it impossible for them to out price our American companies, problem solved, you don't have cheap chineese stuff available any more so you have to buy AMERICAN, no choice!! Americans are fat, lazy and want everything on a platter,I admit it I AM EVEN SUCKED IN AT TIMES but I say we make the country what it used to be, a home for hard working, intelligent, successful people, not a catch all nation for the crap other countries don't want! Sorry, I am finished...
No need to apologize, I am right there with you. Even though WE ALL get sucked in at times, at least some stop and take the time to think about it. That is a step in the right direction. Now if we can eliminate, or at least minimize our largest import (i.e. oil) we are really movin'. And we are back to waiting on congress to open up the gulf and other offshore areas to drilling. That and offer more subsidies to "outside the box" alternative energy to encourage energy independence. My money is on solar, see Germany's govt program for promoting solar power. It is a bit extreme but a similar program could possibly work to lessen our dependence on foreign (Read:Arab/Venezuelan) oil.
