I'm not sure if congress is really that stupid or they think that we are that stupid.....but to offer up a solution to high gas prices in the form of a tax on the oil companies?  Who do they think will end up paying for that tax? Sure as heck won't come out of their 10% profit..... it will be tacked on to what we pay for gas! And speaking of 10% profit......which the gov. calls "obscene".......I'm a Renovation/Remodeling Contractor and if all I made was 10% profit I would have quit a long time ago......if I dip below 40% on any given job I go back thru the quote and look to see where I screwed up!  |
The 10% may be net vs. your 40% gross. 5% net is considered a good profit.
