So your saying I shouldn't eat at Mc Donalds because it's hurting my community (they are world wide ya know) I shouldn't eat at outback or any of the other cooperate owned restaurants, I shouldn't shop at any store that has business in multiple areas and states like barns and noble, or many of the clothing retailers, and I prob. shouldn't by automobiles from any ford, chevy, toyota, etc. dealership because they are big corporations?
I understand what your saying about trying to keep money in your community, but business like Wal-mart, Lowes, and other big corporations pump a lot of money into the area they are at, as well as giving thousands of people jobs. I've lived in BA for 25 years, and it was always a small town, soon as Wal-mart moved in about 10 years ago, other big business followed and now we have an awesome community that attracts more people, has better land projects and parks as well as better upkeep in the community, and we just have a better way of living.
Shopping at all the places I have mentioned doesn't hurt my community, it helps it because majority of the money stays here and it gives more people jobs. Mom and pop business with 1 or 2 employees isn't really helping my community other than giving you more of a home made feel, because I have eating at pretty much every family run restaurant and diner around here, and besides the fact that I have not been impressed with the food, they charge more.
