Threads have become a little too hostile here lately, especially towards turnkey builders. Why I am not sure, everyone has a chance to contribute and I believe the turnkey builders should have the same opportunity as anyone else to use the site.
MBN is open to all people, home shop/garage builders and turnkey manufacturers alike.
It is perfectly appropriate to question a builder (home or turnkey) about their design. It is acceptable for a member to put forward their opinion concerning another members (again home or turnkey) design. It is not acceptable for any member to harass another member of this board.
MBN members are free to speak their mind openly be it negative or positive criticism. Don't beat a thread to death attempting to force someone into seeing your point of view though. It will not work and contributes nothing but negative feedback for the site. More often then not the long harassing threads are just tiring to read, benefits no one and contributes no useful information to community. Even worse the good threads with useful information get lost as a result. This is simple folks... treat other the way you like to be treated. Do not abuse other members as you would not like to be abused yourself. If a member has a problem with a turnkey builder or vendor then make a point and move on. Turnkey builders should be aware, they do not know everything and there are more then a few members here that have a tremendous amount of experience in this or related industries.
What it comes down to is this. You know if you are deliberately causing trouble with other members just to get a rise out of them or not. Stop, what's the point? Joking with people is one thing, but the events over the past few months have become nothing more then an ongoing argument spread across multiple threads. There are many members at fault here, both turnkey and home builders. The staff is also largely to blame for allowing this type of abuse to go on.
First offense is a temp ban for two weeks that requires a majority vote by the staff. Bans will be forthcoming, all decisions made by the staff are final. No negative comments or threads concerning banned members will be tolerated. A member ban is between that member and the staff and is in no way the business of anyone else.
Apologies for taking your time with such negative issues. I would rather spend my time doing other things then be forced into composing a post such as this, let alone read it.
Regards,
Rusty
