What a day!
We got about 2-1/2 hours of hard riding in.
One of my headlamps tore off and I got some sand in my throttle cable and ignition switch. My throttle cable stuck a few times but I was able to clear it quick enough. I need to seal up my ignition switch better...sand got in and I couldn't get the key to turn off.
Adjusted the chain once, after the first ride...no big deal.
I turned my bearclaws around to get the "V" to push the sand instead of digging in, and it worked real well. After I got over my nervous willies, I started hammering the throttle keeping the RPM's over 5K, and it kept the upper stage injectors kicking in. The little 600cc screamed, and seemed right at home. *
